Before I headed to the Blog Awards Ceremony last Saturday night, I also popped by the Duck Race in Park Kadriorg with my colleagues. In passing, I have to point out that to some extent Hotel Oru also participated in the Blog Awards Ceremony, offering a small vacation for a busy-as-a-bee worker.
But let’s move on to the Duck Race. Obviously, it goes without saying that this is an ingenious and praiseworthy event to raise money for charity while having fun. The gold sponsor Hotel Oru donated for the Duck Race charity 2 euros from every night paid for by the guests who spent a night at the hotel between 1 and 11 June. I think this was a really great contribution by the hotel. The funds raised at the event will be used to support children who have cancer and who need special formula food.
According to Delfi, the Duck Race 2016 on last Saturday raised 132,948 euros in donations with people’s help. All of the 10,000 ducks found a sponsor and got a chance to compete in the Park’s channel.
If you were not there this year, I hope that this delightful photo coverage will persuade you to participate next year.
